Linnea began her healthcare career as a Registered Nurse nearly 26 years ago at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. While living in Philadelphia, she obtained her Masters degree in Nursing Administration from the University of Pennsylvania, with a Minor in Business from the Wharton School.  In 1993, Linnea founded an independent healthcare consulting company, Health Care Innovations, Inc., which assisted health care organizations in designing programs to meet the needs of chronically ill individuals.

Linnea received her Master of Acupuncture degree from the Maryland Institute of Integrative Health (formerly the TAI Sophia Institute) in 2005, is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and is a practicing Chinese Herbalist. She is a former faculty member at the Maryland University of Integrative Health, serving in Point Location and Acupuncture Theory classes, and also as a Clinical Supervisor. She is certified in Sports Medicine Acupuncture®, and has expanded her understanding of Western medical approaches to musculoskeletal injury by shadowing orthopedic surgeons at the sports medicine clinic at the United States Naval Academy.

She maintains an active acupuncture practice in Annapolis, Maryland, East-West Healing Arts, with her three partners, who are also Registered Nurse Acupuncturists.  In her practice, Linnea combines the best of Eastern and Western approaches to healing for the benefit of her patients. She specializes in the treatment of sports-related and musculoskeletal injuries, supporting many local collegiate, high school and recreational athletes.

Linnea lives in the Annapolis area with her husband Jamie, and her two daughters, Ashley and Lindsay.
