“What I really love about the SMA system is that it’s based in anatomy and is consistent with mechanical laws. In other words, it makes sense to me as a practitioner and a former engineer. It also gives me great leverage when explaining my findings to my patients.
As a result of my SMAC Certification, I have been accepted to work at the San Diego Sports Acupuncture Clinic in Sorrento Valley. This has provided me access to helping many athletes, as well as active military personnel, allowing me to truly implement and integrate a lot of Matt Callison’s SMA material. I have also been accepted as an adjunct professor at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in San Diego. I am now teaching the powerful class “Treatment of Orthopedic Disorders.”
One of my favorite case studies is that of a totally disabled 66 year-old male with a major lumbar disc herniation and severe radicular pain whom I was able to take from being in a walker to a fully functioning athletic person. With no ability to even lay down, he was having to take opioids every six hours. With treatment, he is now a happy and active guy who plays golf three times a week. He actually came to speak and share his incredible story with my PCOM students!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Matt Callison, as it was only through his incredible SMA program that I was able to learn how to make a real difference in other people’s lives.”
